Rosaura provides a wide range of intensive, individualized remedial instruction for children with learning disabilities and learning differences. She administers formal and informal educational assessments to determine a students strength and weaknesses. After assessments are conducted, an individual intervention plan is developed for each student. She utilizes the Orton-Gillingham method which is multisensory and involves using the brains major pathways : visual, auditory and, kinesthetic to enhance a student's learning. Her focus is not only on remediation but also on building underlying learning skills and helps students become more self-aware, self-reliant, efficient learners.
She understands the emotional, behavioral, and learning problems that are interwoven with children who have learning disabilities and combines educational and therapeutic approaches in evaluation, remediation, communication, and advocacy for clients with learning difficulties or disabilities. She also facilitates communication between clients, families, and schools.
